1. Information We Collect

When you use Ticketseat.io, we collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, company details, and payment information processed through Stripe. We also collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, and device information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve our ticketing platform, process transactions via Stripe Connect, send transactional emails (ticket confirmations, QR codes), and communicate service updates. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Location Information

Our event discovery pages offer an optional “Near me” feature. If you choose to use it, your browser asks for permission to share your device location, and we use your approximate coordinates only to sort events by distance from you at that moment. This location is used in the request only - we do not store it, link it to any account, or share it with organizers or third parties - and you can decline the prompt or turn the feature off at any time. Browsing and buying tickets never require location access. Separately, event organizers may set a venue location for their events, which we may convert to map coordinates so we can show a map and let attendees find nearby events.

4. Payment Processing

All payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of payment data. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with: (a) Stripe for payment processing, (b) email service providers for ticket delivery, and (c) when required by law. Event organizers receive attendee information for events they manage.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Event and transaction data is retained for 7 years for legal and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account at any time.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also request data portability or object to processing. Contact us at support@ticketseat.io for any privacy requests.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL), secure authentication, and regular security audits to protect your data. All API communications are encrypted in transit.
